Chandigarh : In view of the centenary celebrations of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the Punjab government has taken a major decision. Under this, all government and private schools in Block Sri Anandpur Sahib will be closed from November 22nd to 26th.
The decision was taken in view of the large number of devotees
Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that a large number of devotees are expected to arrive during the centenary celebrations. The influx of devotees continues, so the decision to keep schools closed has been taken to maintain smooth traffic and security arrangements. The government stated that this step was necessary to ensure the safety of students, parents, and school staff.
