    Srinagar: Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that due to the ongoing cold, winter vacation for nursery to middle grades in the Kashmir division is expected to begin in the first week of December. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the minister said that the department has already reviewed the situation.

    “We have held a meeting in this regard, and winter vacation for nursery to middle grades will begin in the first week of December,” she said. Referring to concerns raised by parents and schools regarding textbooks and other educational needs, he said the matter has been resolved. He said a meeting has been held in this regard and necessary instructions have been issued. He added that the department is closely monitoring the academic calendar, taking into account weather conditions.
