A large number of visitors arrived here at the beginning of December. The 70-80 feet high waterfall and the natural beauty of Perwaghagh captivated the people. However, the dilapidated condition of the road remains a problem.

    Perwaghagh Waterfall Sees Increased Tourist

Perwaghagh Waterfall Sees Increased Tourist: The famous Perwaghagh waterfall in Khunti district has once again started buzzing with tourists. With the beginning of December, the arrival of tourists has increased. Perwaghagh, nestled amidst the dense forests of the remote Phatka Panchayat in Torpa block, and the nearby Pandu Puding, are attracting people with their captivating natural beauty.

On the first Sunday, a large number of tourists arrived here and enjoyed the natural surroundings throughout the day. Waterfall falling from a height of 70-80 feet: The beauty of the Perwaghagh waterfall, with its stream falling from a height of 70-80 feet and the gurgling river flowing between the huge rocks, delighted the tourists.

Tourists from various districts – Ranchi, Gumla, Simdega, and surrounding areas of Khunti – spent hours near the waterfall. Many families were seen enjoying picnics while sitting on the rocks. According to tourism guide Jai Singh, tourists arrived in about 40-50 small and large vehicles.

However, due to the lack of a temporary bridge across the river, people were deprived of seeing the waterfall up close. Jai Singh said that the construction of a temporary bridge is likely to start soon, which will improve the movement and facilities for tourists(Perwaghagh Waterfall Sees Increased Tourist).

Large number of tourists also visited Pandu Puding: Meanwhile, a large number of people also visited Pandu Puding, located near Lohajimi village, on Sunday. The serene valleys, high cliffs, and natural beauty here made the tourists’ experience even more memorable.

Two years ago, the Governor and Chief Minister also visited the site: The beauty of Perwaghagh is so captivating that former Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren also visited the spot with their families for a picnic two years ago. They spent hours enjoying the beauty of the place and praised its charm.

Dilapidated road poses an obstacle: The dilapidated condition of the road leading to Perwaghagh remains the biggest challenge for tourists and locals. The road near the forest after the Churdag turn is in very poor condition, making vehicular movement risky.

Two years ago, the Chief Minister had instructed officials to construct the road and undertake the overall development of the area, but no concrete action has been taken so far. Local residents are demanding that the road be constructed soon so that tourism can be promoted and people can travel more easily.

    Patna Marine Drive

Patna Marine Drive: Under the Patna Smart City Mission, 20-foot-high modern arch gates are being installed on the JP Ganga Path. The names of the Ganges River and high-quality lighting will enhance tourism and beauty.

    Table of Contents

    Patna Marine Drive

Patna Tourism: Preparations have begun to make the JP Ganga Path (Marine Drive), which is rapidly emerging as one of Patna’s major tourist destinations, even more grand and attractive. Under the Patna Smart City Mission, large-scale beautification and infrastructure development work is being carried out here. The objective of this plan is not only to enhance the beauty of the Ganga Path but also to make it a major tourist destination and a symbol of the city’s cultural identity.

Under this project, 20-foot-high modern and sturdy arch gates are being installed along the roadside. These gates are being made of powder-coated and stainless steel, ensuring their durability and attractiveness for a long time. Officials said that these arch gates will become the identity of the Ganga Path in the future and will be a new center of attraction for tourists and locals alike.

Eleven special names depicting the cultural, religious, and mythological significance of the Ganges River will be engraved on the gates in stainless steel letters. These names include Bhagirathi, Dev Nadi, Mandakini, Surasarita, Jahnavi, Dhruvananda, Nadishwari, Amaratrangini, Devapaga, Tripathaga, and Alaknanda. Officials say that these names will increase the emotional connection with the Ganges among locals and tourists and give a new dimension to Patna’s cultural identity(Patna Marine Drive).

High-quality facade lighting is being installed on both sides of the arch gates. This will illuminate the entire area with colorful lights at night, which will not only enhance the beauty but also increase the popularity of the Ganga Path from an environmental and tourism perspective.

A special sign for the ‘Ganga Kinare Food Street’ will be installed at the main entrance. This step will make navigation easier for tourists and locals and will also strengthen the identity of the food street. Officials said that this will boost tourism as well as local businesses(Patna Marine Drive).

Smart City Mission officials also stated that construction work will begin rapidly after the final stage of selecting locations for the gates is completed. Once the decorative arch gates are built, the JP Ganga Path will not only add a new dimension to the tourism map of the capital city Patna but will also become a major landmark of the city.

This project will play a significant role in enhancing the city’s modernity, cultural identity, and tourism potential. This new form of the Ganga Path will not only attract tourists but will also become an attractive center for recreation and social activities for the local people. Furthermore, the project will be extremely beneficial from a security and environmental perspective.

Patna Smart City Mission officials believe that this initiative will help the city gain recognition at the national and international levels. In the future, cultural programs, exhibitions, and other tourism activities organized on the Ganga Path will further strengthen the city’s tourism potential. In this way, the JP Ganga Path will not only enhance the beauty of the city but will also make a significant contribution to Patna economically and culturally(Patna Marine Drive).

Tourists are booking hotels in advance for Christmas

Tourists are heading from the tourist town of Manali to Koksar and Gramphu in the Lahaul Valley via the Atal Tunnel. Here, due to the sub-zero temperatures, the waterfalls have completely frozen. Also, there is a risk of slipping due to black ice on the roads during the morning and evening. The Lahaul-Spiti administration is only allowing tourists to travel there during the afternoon to prevent any accidents due to slippery roads caused by ice.
