Ghaziabad: All schools in Ghaziabad will be closed on October 28th due to the Chhath festival. The Ghaziabad District School Inspector has declared a school holiday on October 28th in view of the Chhath festival.
While the Uttar Pradesh government had already issued a restriction on Chhath in the 2025 government holiday calendar, the Ghaziabad School Inspector has now issued a Chhath holiday. Schools in Ghaziabad will be closed on October 28th for the Chhath festival. Consequently, the Lucknow District Magistrate’s Office has also declared a Chhath holiday in the capital. Four Days of Chhath Mahaparva
It should be noted that this year’s Chhath Mahaparva began with Nahai-Khaai on October 25th. On this day, devotees bathe in a river or pond and eat pure vegetarian food. Kharna was on October 26th. On this day, devotees fast without drinking water and prepare jaggery pudding in the evening. After eating this, they observe a 36-hour fast without water.
