Cyclone Montha: According to the latest information, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in some Indian states have been closed this week due to the high alert issued for Cyclone Montha. According to reports, schools are closed in Chennai and Tiruvallur districts of Tamil Nadu due to Cyclone Montha. Schools have also been closed in many areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha due to the Cyclone Montha alert. Schools in Andhra Pradesh will be closed from October 27th to 31st. Cyclone Montha School Holiday: Schools Closed in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha

According to the latest news, schools, colleges, and all other educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha will be closed for two days due to Cyclone Montha approaching the states. These holidays have been announced by the respective state governments.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Cyclone Montha is expected to intensify into a severe cyclone by tomorrow, October 28th. According to media reports, five districts in Andhra Pradesh have issued evacuation plans, school closures, and advisories for citizens living in coastal areas. These districts include Kakinada, East Godavari, Konaseema, Eluru, and West Godavari.

According to reports, schools in Kakinada district will be closed from October 27th to 31st due to the heavy rain warning. The Konaseema and Eluru administrations have also declared school holidays on October 27 and 28, 2025.

In Odisha, eight districts have been placed in the red zone, where the cyclone is expected to cause severe impact with heavy rainfall on October 28 and 29, 2025. These districts include Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi. Students and parents are advised to contact school authorities for information on school holidays and school reopenings.
