Jalandhar: Big news is coming for the people of Jalandhar district in Punjab. It is reported that the District Magistrate of Jalandhar has announced a half-day holiday.
According to information received, all government and private schools and colleges in Jalandhar will observe a half-day holiday for students and staff after 12 noon on November 1. DC Himanshu Aggarwal has issued orders regarding this.
Why Half day holiday announced in Jalandhar?
It is worth noting that the DC has taken this decision keeping in mind the Nagar Kirtan being organised to commemorate the Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The DC stated that this decision was taken to ensure smooth traffic flow so that no one faces any inconvenience during the Nagar Kirtan in Jalandhar.
