Fine if operating a hotel without registration
Garampani (Nainital). On Wednesday, a joint team of the Revenue Department, District Panchayat Nainital, Pollution Control Board, and District Development Authority conducted intensive checking of homestays, hotels, and restaurants in the Kainchi Dham area.
Four hotels were fined 10,000 each for operating more classes than the permitted limit and without registration. Notices were issued to six hotel and homestay operators for violating the rules laid down in the Uttarakhand Tourism Business Registration Act. The District Panchayat imposed a fine of 5,000 for single-use plastic. SDM Monica, Tehsildar Neha Tamta, Itish Kumar, Ravi Pandey, Ramesh Chand Pandey, Richa Joshi, and others were present.
