School holidays on Diwali in India

Bihar

Even in Bihar there will be a holiday because of Diwali and one of the most famous festivals of Bihar, Chhath Puja. There will be a holiday in Bihar schools on the occasion of Chhath Puja as well.

Punjab School Holidays

According to the government official holiday calendar, a four-day holiday has been announced in the schools of Punjab.

These holiday will be from 19th October to 22nd October.There is a holiday on 19th October due to Sunday, after that on Monday, Diwali, which is a gazetted holiday.

There will be post Diwali holidays in many schools as well and the last day of the week, which is October 22nd. This day is also a gazetted holiday on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja.

So in Punjab, there is a continuous four-day school holiday.

Delhi

Delhi schools will remain closed on 20th October on the occasion of Diwali and there is a holiday for schools on 22nd October as well, because on that day Govardhan Puja will be performed. This update is according to the Director of Education of Delhi School.

Andhra Pradesh

There will be a holiday in four mandals of Andhra Pradesh, which are Kurnool Rural, Kurnool Urban, Kallur, and Orvakal.
