Schools Holiday for Chhath Puja 2025
New Delhi: Chhath Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm in most parts of North India, including Bihar and UP. The festival is celebrated with great devotion and reverence in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, Delhi, and parts of West Bengal. During this time, schools, colleges, offices, and banks remain closed in many places. The governments of some states, including Delhi, have declared a holiday for schools and colleges on Monday, October 27th. Schools will be closed for two days in eastern UP, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Delhi Schools Holiday for Chhath Puja
A one-day school holiday has been declared in Delhi on October 27th for Chhath Puja. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the holiday. People will now be able to celebrate Chhath comfortably. Chhath Puja is celebrated on a grand scale in Bihar. Schools and colleges are closed until October 29. Schools were closed on October 18 for Diwali and will remain closed until October 29 for Chhath Puja. This decision by the Nitish Kumar government aims to allow students and their families to participate in the four-day Chhath festival without any disruption.
