    Bhopal/Ujjain: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the “PM Shri Heli Tourism Service” from Bhopal on the state’s 70th Foundation Day to enhance air connectivity in the state and provide quick, convenient, and safe travel to tourists. This service is set to usher Madhya Pradesh into a new era of air tourism. Regular operations will begin on November 20th, ensuring fast and seamless air connectivity between spiritual, eco-tourism, and wildlife tourism destinations.

    The new facility will allow tourists to reach more destinations in less time and will expand the state’s tourism potential. The most significant feature of this service is that travel to Ujjain and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga will now be possible in just 20–40 minutes, while the journey from Bhopal to Pachmarhi will also take just one hour.     Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts and Endowments, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, said that the PM Shri Heli Tourism Service is a significant step towards tourism development in Madhya Pradesh, aiming to provide fast and convenient air connectivity to all major spiritual, natural, wildlife, and wellness-based tourist destinations. Given the state’s growing tourist potential, this service will not only save travelers time but also provide them with a safer, more convenient, and cost-effective travel experience. This initiative will pave the way for new investment in the tourism sector, increased employment, and the expansion of tourism services, thereby energizing the state’s economy and tourism potential.

    Additional Chief Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Home, Religious Trusts and Endowments, and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, stated that the PM Shri Heli Tourism Service is an innovative effort to connect Madhya Pradesh’s major spiritual, wildlife, historical, cultural, and natural destinations through an integrated air network. With features such as quick travel time and affordable fares, the service will make the traveler experience extremely seamless and engaging. This initiative will promote high-value tourism, adventure tourism, and spiritual tourism, ensuring a significant increase in domestic and international tourist arrivals.

    Spiritual Sector(Jyotirlinga Darshan will now take minutes)

    The Indore-Ujjain-Omkareshwar route has been added under the spiritual sector. The estimated fare for a 20-minute flight from Indore to Ujjain is ₹5,000, for a 40-minute flight from Ujjain to Omkareshwar is ₹6,500, and for a return flight from Omkareshwar to Indore, the fare is approximately ₹5,500. Through this sector, devotees will be able to easily visit both Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas in a single day as Jyotirlinga Darshan will now take minutes.

    Eco-Tourism Sector

    In the eco-tourism sector, the estimated fare for a 40-minute flight from Bhopal to Madhai is ₹4,000, and for a 20-minute flight from Madhai to Pachmarhi is ₹3,000. Additionally, a one-hour direct flight from Bhopal to Pachmarhi will be available, costing ₹5,000 per passenger.
