In fact, the market will be closed on Wednesday, November 5th, on account of Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti. This means that there will be no trading on this day on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). According to the holiday calendar available on the NSE, the stock market has only one holiday in November. This will be a shortened four-day trading week, with the market closed for one day midweek. On this day, there will be no transactions in the equity, derivatives, security lending, currency derivatives, and electronic gold receipts segments.

Stock Markets to Remain Closed for One Day in December

In addition to November, the stock market will also have a one-day holiday in December. Christmas will be celebrated on December 25th. Trading will also be suspended on this occasion. According to the NSE, in 2025, the stock market will have a total of 14 days, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Of these, only two holidays remain: November 5th and December 25th.
