UP Winter Vacation 2025

To protect students from this harsh cold (cold wave), schools are given winter vacations. This break usually runs from the last week of December to mid-January, and children eagerly await it.
Winter Vacation to Begin in UP
Winter vacations for schools in Uttar Pradesh are expected to begin after December 25th. However, the state education department has not yet announced an official date. Last year, the holidays were from December 31st to January 11th, but in some districts, the period was extended due to extreme cold. Students and parents are now awaiting an official announcement, hoping they may get a slightly longer vacation this time.
Last Year’s Winter Vacation
Last year, primary schools in Uttar Pradesh had a holiday from December 31st to January 14th. In Delhi and Haryana, the holiday period was from January 1st to January 15th. In Punjab, the holiday period was from December 24th to December 31st, while in Rajasthan, it was from December 25th to January 5th. Each state created its own winter calendar.
