The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions has released the official holiday calendar for the year 2026. According to the official order from the Department of Personnel and Training, there are a total of 14 holidays.

There are a total of 14 holidays as per the official circular for the year 2026, which are compulsory for departmental duty off days. Details of holidays are as follows:

Restricted Holidays 2026 Central Govt Holidays

There are a total of 12 optional holidays in 2026, out of which employees can avail 3 holidays. Details of holidays are given below: –

Conclusion

There are a total of 14 holidays and 3 optional holidays out of 12 for central government employees as per the Department of Personnel and Training. Diwali in 2026 will be celebrated on Sunday.
