Why Doctors’ and health workers’ leave cancelled?
Patna: To ensure the district’s health services are fully prepared in view of the Bihar Assembly elections, Patna’s Civil Surgeon, Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh, held an online meeting. In this meeting, held via video conferencing, Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh announced to the in-charges and hospital managers of all hospitals in the district that all types of leave for doctors and health workers would be cancelled until the election process is over. He stated that this decision was taken to ensure prompt and effective medical assistance in the event of any emergency or untoward incident during the elections.
Quick Response Team Formed and 24-Hour Emergency Service: Doctors’ and health workers’ leave cancelled till further orders
Patna Civil Surgeon, Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh, stated that a Quick Response Team has been formed to immediately address any untoward incident that may arise before or during the elections. This team will operate in emergency situations. To ensure uninterrupted health services, emergency wards in all hospitals will remain open 24 hours a day during this period. The Civil Surgeon also stated that adequate stocks of essential life-saving medicines have been made available at all health centers in the district and Patna’s Civil Surgeon held an online meeting to ensure the district’s health services are fully prepared in view of the elections.
