Employee asks CEO for leave after breakup

This incident occurred at Knot Dating, where an employee wrote an email to the company’s co-founder and CEO, Jasvir Singh, requesting leave. In the application, the employee told his boss that he had been unable to concentrate on his work since the breakup and wanted a few days off to recover mentally.

Sharing a photo of the employee’s email, CEO Jasvir Singh wrote in his post, “Gen Z doesn’t do filters,” meaning today’s young generation doesn’t believe in hiding or faking their emotions.

The CEO gave a surprising response after reading the email

Jasvir further explained that his employee emailed him asking for leave. The employee’s reason for the leave was quite different from others. He clearly stated that he had recently gone through a breakup and was unable to concentrate on his work. He asked for a few days to gather himself.

The email read, “I recently went through a breakup and am unable to focus on my work. I am working from home today and would like to take leave from the 28th to the 8th.” Jasvir Singh replied, “Leave approved, instantly.” Following this response(to get immediate leave) , the CEO is receiving widespread praise on social media.

Jasvir Singh also provided a screenshot of his employee’s email. Shared, the post is going viral on social media. Many users praised the employee’s honesty and transparency.
