  • Food safety licenses required for hotels; violations will face action: Government warns

food safety licenses required for hotels

Tamil Nadu: Food safety licenses required for hotels for both government and private hotels across Tamil Nadu.

Why Food safety licenses required for hotels?

Tamil Nadu: Food safety licenses have been made mandatory for both government and private hotels across Tamil Nadu. Similarly, it has been advised that cooks must undergo medical examinations every three months and maintain proof of the same. Food safety department officials have warned that appropriate action will be taken against hotels that do not comply with these rules. They also stated that this action has been taken due to increasing complaints regarding the quality of food served in hotels.

Tamil Nadu has over a thousand schools, colleges, and commercial hostels. Most of them have cooking facilities. Food safety officials conduct periodic inspections to ensure the cleanliness and quality of the food served there. It has been found that more than 50 percent of hotels do not have a food safety license. Furthermore, over 10% of complaints regarding food quality across Tamil Nadu last month were from such hotels.

Notably, recently, over 100 students who ate at a hostel in a private educational institution in Kumarapalayam, Namakkal district, vomited and fainted. Similarly, a college hostel restaurant in Coimbatore was operating illegally. While appropriate action has been taken in these incidents, food safety officials say it’s essential to regulate all hostels. They stated: Cooks must maintain hygiene. They must wear gloves and hats. They should not keep their nails and hair long. Furthermore, they must undergo a medical examination every three months to check for hepatitis and other infections.

Regulations for food safety licenses required for hotels

Similarly, the relevant hotels are required to have a food safety license. In many places, these regulations are not followed, leading to poor food quality and accidents. He said that hotels which do not have license or medical certificate will be fined and legal action will be taken against them as Food safety licenses required for hotels.

Working hours for private employees fixed in UP

The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a new labor policy for private employees, clearly defining leave and working hours. The new law aims to provide employees with a better work-life balance and increase transparency in companies. These changes will provide several direct benefits to employees.

The Uttar Pradesh government has made several significant changes to labor laws to protect the interests of employees working in the state’s private sector. These changes have been implemented primarily under the Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, and the UP Factories Act. Their aim is to provide employees with a safe, transparent, and balanced work environment.

    Working Hours and Overtime Rules

According to the new system, an employee can now work a maximum of 9 hours per day, while the weekly work limit remains at 48 hours. This means the total weekly workload will remain unchanged, but working hours will be flexible.

If an employee works beyond the prescribed limit, they will be paid double the normal wage rate for overtime. Furthermore, the quarterly overtime limit has been increased from 125 hours to 144 hours, providing employees with the opportunity to earn additional income if needed, working hours for private employees fixed in UP.

    New Rest and Leave Arrangements

Now, every employee is required to have a rest interval of at least 30 minutes after working for five consecutive hours. In terms of holidays, 10 days of casual leave and 15 days of sick leave after six months of service have been established.

One day of weekly leave is also mandatory every week. Employees working on national holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti will be given double wages or an alternative holiday.

Safety and Equal Opportunity for Women

Female employees are permitted to work night shifts (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.), but only with their written consent and under safety measures. This will provide women with more employment options and promote equal opportunities in the workplace, working hours for private employees fixed in UP.

New provisions for appointment letters and fines

Employers will now be required to provide appointment letters to every employee, increasing employment transparency and job security. Strict action has also been taken against employers who violate the rules—a fine of up to ₹2,000 for the first offense and up to ₹10,000 for the second offense.

  • Ooty vs. Coorg: The aroma of coffee or the magic of cool breezes, Coorg vs. Ooty, who will win hearts?

    Ooty vs. Coorg

Ooty vs. Coorg: Both Coorg and Ooty top the list of beautiful hill stations in South India. So, if you’re planning your next vacation in the South, here’s a look at which of the two places might be perfect for you. To know, “Is it a government or bank holiday today or tomorrow?” visit our homepage.

    Ooty vs. Coorg

Ooty vs. Coorg: When you think of a vacation in the last month of the year, two beautiful hill stations in South India—Ooty and Coorg—come to mind. While December brings a slight chill, it’s certainly a golden opportunity to experience the greenery and tranquility of these places. But the question remains: is Ooty or Coorg a better choice for a December trip? If you’re planning your next trip in the coming months, you’ll find it challenging. If you’re looking to travel to South India and are confused between Coorg or Ooty, here’s a guide on which of the two places might be best for you. This question varies from person to person, and there’s no definitive answer.

    Feeling the Winter

If you want to experience the intense cold in December, you can head to Ooty. Ooty experiences a pleasant December. Coorg’s climate, while mildly chilly, is perfect for excursions and outdoor activities.

    Natural Sights(Ooty vs. Coorg)

Ooty is famous for its lakes, viewpoints, and vast tea plantations. Visiting Ooty Lake, Doddabetta Peak, the Botanical Gardens, and riding the toy train are even more enjoyable in December. The view of the misty hills is breathtaking. Coorg, on the other hand, is known for its lush coffee and spice plantations, waterfalls, and lush greenery. Places like Abbey Falls, Raja Seat, Talakaveri, and Namdroling Monastery showcase the natural and cultural splendor of the region.

    Overseas

December is a peak time for travel. Ooty can be quite crowded, leading to traffic jams and waiting times everywhere. If you’re looking for a quieter destination, Coorg might be a better choice.

If you’re looking for a traditional hill station experience, enjoying the toy train ride and the viewpoints, you can go to Ooty. However, if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation in the lap of nature, enjoying coffee plantation tours, trekking, and spending time among waterfalls, Coorg might be a better choice. Both destinations have their own unique qualities. Either option can be a great option for making your December holidays memorable, provided your preferences match your travel expectations of Ooty vs. Coorg.

Himachal: Now, tourists from India and abroad will have to wait for the next six months to visit here as Rohtang Pass closed for tourists . Read the full story… To know, “Is it a government or bank holiday today or tomorrow?” visit our homepage.

Why Rohtang Pass closed for tourists?

Rohtang Pass has been officially closed for tourists. As per the district administration’s instructions, vehicles will not be allowed on NH 03 from Gramphoo to Rohtang and from Jingjingbar to Sarchu from Thursday. Now, tourists from India and abroad will have to wait for the next six months to visit Rohtang.

Like every year, this year too, increased snowfall, extreme cold, and waterlogging on the roads have made travel risky. Temperatures dropping several degrees below zero in the morning and night have made the roads slippery, increasing the risk of accidents. Therefore, the administration has completely banned vehicular movement.

However, people can enjoy the snow around Gramphoo, about six kilometers from Koksar, through Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Apart from this, movement will continue for tourists coming to Lahaul to places like Sissu, Snow Spring Yangla, Keylong, Udaipur, Avalokiteshwar Temple at Triloknath, Jispa and Darcha. Deputy Commissioner Lahaul-Spiti Kiran Bhadana said that from Thursday, no vehicle will be allowed on NH-03 from Gramphoo to Rohtang and from Jingjingbar to Sarchu.
