    Teachers working in government schools in the state currently do not receive earned leave. This provision was introduced due to the availability of summer vacation.     Due to the complex process, the full benefit of this leave was not available. Furthermore, amendments are also proposed to the rules for voluntary leave and weekly leave. Currently, government offices operate for five days, with Saturdays being a holiday. In place of this system, which began during the COVID-19 pandemic, the provision of holding office hours on the second and third Saturdays may be reinstated.

    The two-child restriction will be lifted after 24 years

    Meanwhile, the government is making another major decision: If any serving officer or employee has a third child, they will be deemed ineligible and removed from service. This condition was implemented on January 26, 2001. In fact, other states, including Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, have already removed such conditions. This decision will benefit employees in other departments, including schools, higher education, and medical education.

    Complaints related to these will be archived, but those cases in which action has already been taken will not receive any relief, as the decision will not be implemented retrospectively. Sources say that the General Administration Department has prepared a proposal and sent it to the Chief Minister’s Office, and a final decision is expected soon.
