Kullu: There is news of relief for domestic and foreign tourists visiting the district. In addition to the tourist attractions of Kullu-Manali, tourists will also be able to see the 13,050-foot-high Rohtang Pass.
The Manali-Rohtang Road will remain open for vehicular traffic for the time being. Vehicle movement between Manali and Rohtang Pass will continue from 9 am to 3 pm.
Keeping in mind the safety of tourists and locals visiting the Rohtang Pass, Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish inspected the Manali-Rohtang Road on Wednesday. Sub-Divisional Officer Manali Raman Sharma was also present during the inspection. The Deputy Commissioner stated that, provided the weather remains clear, the decision has been made to allow vehicular traffic to Rohtang Pass until December 10th. During this period, vehicular traffic will operate daily from 9 am to 3 pm. He stated that vehicles will depart from Manali for Rohtang at 9 am and return by 3 pm. He added that this arrangement will be entirely dependent on weather conditions.
